Big Bird Creative
The creative industry is fickle. Nothing ever seems to last all that long. When we first started out, we thought that I'd be working in a chaos-riddled offices, frantically throwing around the world's greatest campaign concepts for high-dollar consumables and big name customers. Instead, most of us found ourselves practically begging to do pro bono logo concepts for friends of friends, just to build up our portfolio.
Some spec work, plenty of networking, and, yes, the occasional warm body stand-in for a landscaping company when we all were a few dollars short on rent, all led us to the fortunate position that we are currently in. And, to be certain, we'd be remiss if we were not to acknowledge the presence of good fortune and good friends along the way who played a significant role in all this. As my father always said, "Remember the name of every person you meet on the tennis court." Quite true, indeed.
